[WP] "They came shortly before they turned asking for sanctuary, we kept them on a locked room and tried to make it as confortable as posible. We did everything we could but they have been slowly degenerating, losing their mind and becoming a monster. I ask you, please help us put them to rest."

THE MOMENT

"Magical Girl Redline Express at your service!" Brooke beamed as she introduced herself. She still took every opportunity she could to use the title; it'd taken her a lot of work to earn it. "How can I help?" she asked the posted guard. He was a veteran soldier with worn armor and silvery hair. He was standing outside a sealed warehouse. There were dozens of knights patrolling the perimeter, but Brooke knew exactly which one to talk to.

"Perfect timing, hero," the guard captain nodded. As he spoke, wailing groans began sounding from inside the doors, and he gestured at the sealed entrance behind him with his thumb and he shook his head for added effect. "They came shortly before they turned, asking for sanctuary. We kept them in a locked room and tried to make it as comfortable as possible. We did everything we could, but they have been slowly degenerating, losing their mind and becoming monsters. I ask you, please help us put them to rest," he said.

"Oh wait! HI!" A teen girl in a white blazer and skirt popped up before Brooke could answer, and distracted her. "I'm Outbreak. Are you doing the Sanctuary Purge quest?" she asked. "Are you a Necromancer?" The unnatural cries from within went silent.

"Hi, Outbreak," Brooke laughed at the sudden surprise and nodded. "I'm about to start it," she confirmed, then shook her head. "I'm an Elementalist, doing the Princess quest line," she answered. "You can call me Brooke."

"Oh, that's perfect!" Outbreak replied. "I'm trying to capture a rare spawn for my horde, but it only appears after a failed purification, and it's not a guaranteed drop. If you're doing the Princess version, you're going to try and purify them, right?"

"I think so...," Brooke nodded. "I didn't get that far."

"Do you mind if we team up?" Outbreak asked. "You'll get credit for purifications, and I'll take care of the corrupted failures."

"Sure, that would be helpful," Brooke nodded. "I'll invite you," she added as she willed her nanos to send the request. In moments, Outbreak's status appeared in the top corner of her view.

"Thanks!" Outbreak replied. "I'm ready to start whenever." Brooke hadn't actually accepted the quest, and it was a simple matter to restart the dialogue.

"Hi, is there anything we can help with?" she asked.

"Perfect timing, heroes," the guard captain nodded. Undead moans rose behind him again. "They came shortly before they turned, asking for sanctuary. We kept them in a locked room and tried to make it as comfortable as possible. We did everything we could, but they have been slowly degenerating, losing their mind and becoming monsters. I ask you, please help us put them to rest," he said.

"Did I hear you say you were a magical girl?" Outbreak asked as the warehouse door swung open.

"Awwww... no... did you??" Brooke asked with a blush. As proud as she was to earn the name, it was a little bit sad to be showing it off to NPCs.

"I'm pretty sure I did," Outbreak giggled as they entered the warehouse and the door began closing behind them. "But it's okay if you're keeping it a secret," she smiled. "Just say the word, and I won't tell a soul," her neon green eyes sparkled with amusement. "Sharing others' secrets is a total Red Line that I wouldn't cross."
