THE MOMENT

"AAAHHH!" the shrill scream was punctuated by the sound of silverware banging against a glass plate.

"Something wrong?" a waitress in white and red appeared next to the fairy that was still trying to massage the pain out of her hand. The waitress was the only one that seemed to care about her pain. The other guests seemed unconcerned with the random scream.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL YOUR GUESTS!?" the fairy yelled. It was then that she noticed someone else. A short woman in a black suit appeared next to her table.

"This is a wedding, not a department store. Please don't yell at my employees," the woman said. She reprimanded first, then she shooed the waitress away. "What's the trouble?" she asked.

"Some idiot put out iron flatware!" the fairy yelled. She was there alone and everyone else at her table was a stranger; none of them were invested in her complaint. Melody nodded and golden stars appeared in her eyes. She looked down at the fork, then she glanced at the other silverware on the table. After that, she took a moment to search the other tables. The stars in her eyes faded and she smiled at the fairy.

"I'd like to suggest instead that some idiot doesn't know how to read," she said.

"Huh?" the fairy asked. Melody leaned down and picked up the name card to show it to the fairy.

"Vegas does not have any problems with iron," she said. "As you search for a new seat, it's a good idea to read the name cards. They have a lot of information on them about what can be expected at the table."
